After serving the Lord for seven years in Mexico, Brian and Margaret Mooney have moved on in response to God's call to minister in Belize. A little Caribbean enclave, formally known as British Honduras, Belize borders Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the west, and Honduras to the south. Belizeans are largely professing Christians, but nominalism and syncretism are common: the Spanish-speaking immigrants with their superstitions and superficiality; the Mayans with their underlying paganism; the Garifuna with their black magic; and many old colony Mennonites relying on their cultural and religious heritage as a means of salvation — each needs a culturally relevant and sensitive presentation of the gospel. Brian went home to be with our Lord in November of 2007. Margaret is staying on and continuing to serve in Belize.

 After several months of planning and trusting in God we have made our long journey to Belize. We praise God for a wonderful trip through Mexico and finally into Belize. We could not have prayed for a smoother trip. 08.03.04
 Our plans are to begin our long drive to Belize in mid July. This journey requires driving through mainland Mexico. Please pray for safety as we travel and that we will find favor at all borders and checkpoints. 06.29.04
 We are in need of a 3/4 ton diesel truck for towing our trailer to Belize and for transportation within Belize. Please pray about how the Lord might use you to help! 06.29.04
