Pastor Bud serves as an Assisting Pastor at Calvary Chapel Chico.
Bud first came to Calvary in 1985 and was drawn in by the expository teaching of the Bible and the relaxed atmosphere. "These people dressed casually, but were serious about Jesus!" Bud says enthusiastically. "I've always felt that the Lord was more concerned with my heart than my clothes."
Bud served as the youth pastor from 1989 to 1996, when Dominic was raised up to lead the youth. Now Bud's duties include serving as an elder, overseeing the Men's Ministry and Sportsmen's Fellowship, and overseeing deacons and ushers. Throughout the week he teaches premarital classes along with his wife Janelle, conducts weddings and funerals, and provides Biblical instruction for couples and individuals. Bud says, "Since becoming involved at Calvary Chapel, the Lord has made sure that my life is anything but boring or slow." He also points out that it helps that God has blessed him with Janelle, "a wonderful wife who loves me and Him", so they can serve the body together.
